I own and operate my own studio in Berowra Heights, “Conditioning Yoga with Steph” where I share my love of vinyasa (linking breath with movement) style yoga to the local community. A weekly Sunday Yin class offers students an alternative, to calm the nervous system and prepare for the week ahead. All classes include a strong focus on pranayama and meditation (training through Dr. Lorin Roche – Radiance Sutras Meditation Teacher) to bring awareness to the mind-body connection through breath. A student of yoga for over 10 years, I completed my first teacher training with Nicole Walsh at InYoga in 2015, followed by Level 2 of the same year. I recently completed a one year yoga anatomy and physiology course with Simon Borg- Olivier at Yoga Synergy and have continued this journey with an online experiential anatomy course with Judith Hansen Lasater and Mary Richards.
I recently began exploring my passion for bringing yoga to children and families of all ages. This developed through my own experiences as a yoga teacher and mum, seeing firsthand its transformative effect on children. Training with Jaime Amor at “Cosmic Kids Yoga” expanded my skill set and confidence to share yoga with kids and families through fun, stories, imagination and movement. I am inspired to see how yoga helps kids grow in strength, balance, coordination, confidence and so much more.
Each class provides a safe place for students to discover their true potential, young and old, from beginners to the advanced yogis. Students will leave each class having found a place of calm and stillness in mind and an awareness of the intricacies of the body which will transcend into everyday life.
